Proton
T1IR for Proton. In this experiment a 180 degree pulse is applied. Then after a variable delay time a 90 degree pulse is applied and then the FID is aquired. The peaks with short delays are inverted. As the nuclei "recover" from the inversion, the peak goes through a null point (the half life) and returns to full intensity. This data shows that the longest T1 for isobutanol is about 4.5 seconds. This delay time is used to determine the optimum acquisition times for different experiments.
