Electron Configurations Homework Problem Set
This problem set was developed by S.E. Van Bramer for Chemistry 145 at Widener University.
- Write the electon configuration (ie: 1s2, 2s1), orbital energy diagram, and orbital box diagram for,
- H, Li, Na, and K
- Be, Mg and Ca
- C, Si and Ge
- F, Cl and Br
- Fe, Ni and Zn
- Cl1- and K1+
- Mg2+ and F1-
- Use a blank periodic table and write in the periodic trends for,
- atomic size
- ionization energy
- electron affinity
- ion size
