About ENVR 306, Environmental Analysis
Course Description
This course teaches students the theory and application of environmental sampling and analysis techniques. The course introduces students to the instrumentation and techniques used to assess air, water, and soil quality. Lecture focuses on sampling, statistics, the operational theory of different measurement techniques, and the relevant chemical reactions. In the laboratory, students apply this to the quantitation and identification of various environmentally significant compounds. Two hours lecture, 6 hours laboratory weekly. Prerequisites: ENVR 304 and BIOL 299.
