Multimedia Users Listserv

This list is for Widener University faculty using or interested in using multimedia resources for teaching. The list is intended to facilitate the sharing of new teaching ideas, informing faculty about available resources, and answering questions.

This is a closed list. Subscriptions are limited to Widener University faculty. The list is configured to reject any message sent by someone not subscribed. This should eliminate any "junk" email. However, you must send messages from the same system used to subscribe. If you have any problems, please contact Scott Van Bramer at: svanbram@science.widener.edu

How to subscribe

Sending a message to:
majordomo@pop1.science.widener.edu

With the message:
subscribe media

First you will receive a message confirming your subscription request. After I approve the subscription, you will receive a confirmation notice.

A few points on list protocol

  1. Remember anything sent to the list is sent to EVERYONE.
  2. Use descriptive Subject lines.
  3. Sign your message and include your e-mail address.
  4. Participate. The more people use the list the more useful it is.
  5. Flame wars and inappropriate messages are boring.
  6. If you have problems contact: svanbram@science.widener.edu
  7. Send administrative requests to the majordomo (the listserv). NOT the list.

Retrieve this file.

get media
Get a file related to the list.

Return an index of files you can "get".

help
Retrieve a help file for this list.

end
Stop processing commands (useful if your mailer adds a signature).
