Grading:. Your grade will be determined by your performance on:
3 lecture exams 300 pts
1 comprehensive final exam 200 pts
2 writing assignments (50 pts each) 100 pts
10 weekly quizzes (Fridays) 10 pts each 100 pts
TOTAL 700 PTS
The following grades will be used in this course: 700- 630 A
629- 560 B
559 - 490 C
489 - 420 D
less than 420 F
The plus/minus system will be used to further refine this scheme

Academic Fraud: The Biology Department strongly supports and strictly enforces the University policy on academic fraud outlined in the student handbook on page 26. A student caught in any form of academic fraud will be given an F in the course and further academic proceedings which can lead to expulsion from the university will be pursued
