COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND GRADING

4 exams 3 during the term  (100 pts each) and a comprehensive final 200 pts

 Exams will be given outside of class time during an agreed upon time in the evening

~6 reports that may include written and oral components. These vary in their points allocation but will account for about 300 points. You will be able to resubmit 2 of reports for re-grading

~ 2 10-15 page papers.  Each of these papers is worth 100 points.

Total 1000 points

The following grading scheme will be used in this course:           > 90% - 100%            A

                                                                                                            > 80% - 89%              B

                                                                                                            > 70% - 79%              C

                                                                                                            > 60% - 69%              D

The +/- system refines this scheme.  THERE WILL BE NO CURVES.
